We introduce the Darimo MTB handlebar for mountain bikes, a product obtained from finite element calculations and destructive tests to achieve a record weight (98 g in 740mm length).
The handlebar is entirely made of carbon fiber, with an exclusive combination of bidirectional and unidirectional fabrics with the proper orientation to achieve the best weight-strength-stiffness ratio without ever compromising safety.
This type of laminate can only be achieved with a completely handcrafted construction with the location of the carbon layers made by hand in each handlebar, with a different number and arrangement of layers at each point.
The diameter of the stem clamping area is 31.8mm, adapted to current standards. There are two angle options, 6 or 9 degrees. It is manufactured with the length desired by the customer with a maximum of 800mm.
Specifications
- Finish: There are four possible finishes with the combination of Glossy or matte, bidirectional or unidirectional (+7g), with the possibility of customizing the decal color among the available options.
- Weight limit: The Darimo handlebar is safe and exceeds the ISO 4210 standard tests, however it is not recommended for users weighing more than 90 kg. In destructive tests, the handlebar has supported loads of 350 kg without breaking. We can manufacture a handlebar without user weight limit with a weight increase of only 25 grams.
- Use: MTB, not valid for downhill.
- Dimensional options: 31.8mm in the stem clamping area, 6 or 9º angle and up to 800mm width.
The handlebars are calculated exclusively for each width, so that narrow handlebars are not cut long handlebars, this implies more calculation and manufacturing work but very low weights are obtained in the narrower handlebars.
The central area has a width of 60mm and it is recommended to use stems with four bolts up to 50mm wide in the clamping area. If in doubt, contact us.

Choosing the Width
The Darimo handlebar has a reinforcement at the end to minimize the chances of it splintering in the event of a fall or contact with the ground. For this reason, although it is possible, it is not recommended to cut it, since this reinforcement would be lost, additionally there is a reinforcement in the lever clamping area that would be out of its correct location in the event of a significant width reduction. Choose and request the appropriate handlebar according to your preferences, which will achieve better weight.
