General Features
We present the new handlebar specially designed to be compatible with Brompton®/Folding Bike bicycles, a product obtained from the redesign of our MTB handlebar and following the same finite element calculations and destructive tests to achieve a record weight (86 g at 560mm length).
The handlebar is entirely made of carbon fiber, with an exclusive combination of bidirectional and unidirectional fabrics with the appropriate orientation to achieve the best weight-strength-stiffness ratio without ever neglecting safety.
This type of laminate can only be achieved with a completely handcrafted construction with the placement of carbon layers done by hand on each handlebar, with a different number and arrangement of layers at each point.
The diameter of the stem clamping area is 31.8 mm, adapted to current standards with a reduced length in the transition zone of only 180 mm.
Available Finishes
There are six possible finishes with the combination of:
- Glossy or Matte
- Bidirectional (3K) or Unidirectional (UD) (+7g)
- Forged
With the possibility of customizing the sticker color among the available options.
Weight Limit
The Darimo handlebar is safe and exceeds ISO 4210 standard tests, however it is not recommended for users weighing more than 90 kg.
In destructive tests, the handlebar has withstood loads of 350 kg without breaking.
We can manufacture a handlebar without user weight limit with a weight increase of only 25 grams.
Use
Not suitable for downhill or MTB.

The handlebars are calculated exclusively for each width, so that narrow handlebars are not long cut handlebars, this implies more calculation and manufacturing work but very reduced weights are obtained in narrower handlebars.
The central area has a width of 60 mm and the use of stems with four bolts up to 50 mm wide in the clamping area is recommended. If in doubt, contact us.

⚠️ Width Selection - Important
The Darimo handlebar has a reinforcement at the end to minimize the chances of splintering in case of a fall or contact with the ground.
For this reason, although it is possible, IT IS NOT RECOMMENDED TO CUT IT, as said reinforcement would be lost.
Additionally, there is a reinforcement in the lever clamping area that would be outside its correct location in case of a significant width reduction. Choose and order the appropriate handlebar according to your preferences, with which you will achieve a better weight.
