The latest in lightweight handlebars for your road bike, the Darimo Nexum handlebar sets a new standard with a weight of 220 grams in 420mm handlebar width and 100mm stem length.
The handlebar is entirely made of carbon fiber, with an exclusive combination of bidirectional and unidirectional fabrics with the appropriate orientation to achieve the best weight-strength-stiffness ratio without ever compromising safety. The proper arrangement of the fiber layers has been achieved through finite element calculations and destructive testing.
This type of laminate can only be achieved with a completely handcrafted construction with the carbon layers placed by hand in each handlebar, with a different number and arrangement of layers at each point to maximize the strength/weight ratio.
The central area of the handlebar merges with the stem body, maintaining a contained weight and an elegant appearance. This integrated design provides greater stiffness and efficiency in energy transmission, which translates into better performance on your road rides. The top part has a flat shape to increase comfort during hours of pedaling. The bottom part has external grooves for brake and shift cable routing.
Specifications
- Dimensions → Currently manufactured in widths of 360-380-400-420-440mm measured center to center. With a "compact" shape, it has 77mm reach and 128mm drop.
- Stem length → Currently only -6º angle stems are available in lengths of 70-80-90-100-110-120-130mm.
- Finish → There are four possible finishes with the combination of Gloss or matte, bidirectional (3k) or unidirectional. The Unidirectional version, only in the central part, has a weight increase of about 8 grams.
- Weight limit → The Darimo handlebar is safe and passes the ISO 4210 standard tests, so it is valid for a total weight (bike, cyclist, luggage) of maximum 110 kg. For cyclists weighing more than 90kg, we recommend the reinforced version for increased stiffness.
- Use → Road, gravel, CX..
- Di2 version → There is the possibility, on demand, of manufacturing the handlebar with holes for internal routing of Di2 electronic shifting cables. In that case, it is necessary to specify where the holes are needed. This entails a weight increase depending on the number of holes since those areas must be reinforced.
